Practical Carbine I

• Become familiar with controls and operations of students’ selected long gun
• Gain an understanding of supplemental equipment
• Know and understand the 4 fundamentals of rifle marksmanship
• Understand how to zero your sights/optics, and understand how to select an appropriate zero distance
• Understand how to negotiate thru the world with a long gun
• Know and understand the student individual offset for 5/7/10m targets
• Learn how to effectively engage man sized targets @50m from various supported positions
• Apply fundamentals of supported shooting to shooting unsupported

Requisite equipment is as follows:

• Serviceable Carbine (Loaners available)
• 250 rds of quality rifle ammunition matching the caliber of your carbine (.223/5.56 if you require a loaner)
• Sling (if you have one)
• Magazines
• Magazine Pouches/Chest Rig (if you have one)
• Eye Protection (prescription lenses okay)
• Ear Protection
• Baseball cap (recommended)
• Closed toe shoes (range Portion)
• No low cuts shirts
• Note taking material
